SPL & ASPL

I heartily welcome everyone to the Investiture Ceremony of the 7 Habits.

Respected Principal, teachers, distinguished Chief Guests, and my dear students,

Today is a special day as we gather to celebrate leadership, responsibility, and character through our 7 Habits Investiture Ceremony.

We are greatly honored to have with us our esteemed Chief Guest, Major Naveenkumar S, Administrative Officer, 1 TN Battalion NCC. Major Naveenkumar S was a school topper in both the 10th and 12th standards. He secured an excellent cutoff of 199.5/200 and pursued Electronics and Communication Engineering at CEG, Anna University. After working with IBM in Pune and Chennai, he chose to serve the nation by joining the Indian Army. Through perseverance and determination, he appeared for 23 SSB interviews and successfully completed his training at the Officers Training Academy, Chennai. He has completed 9 years of service in the Indian Army, including 5 years in Kashmir serving along the Line of Control and in the Counter-Insurgency/Counter-Terrorism grid. His last posting was with the Rashtriya Rifles, and he is currently serving as the Administrative Officer of 1 TN Battalion NCC.

We also extend a warm welcome to Lieutenant S. K. Dinesh Kumar, Associate NCC Officer, 1 TN Battalion NCC, who is currently serving at Sri Sairam Engineering College. His dedication to NCC training and student development has inspired many young cadets to become disciplined, responsible, and patriotic citizens.

Dear students, the 7 Habits teach us valuable life lessons that help us become responsible leaders and good human beings. In our school, we strive to follow these habits every day:

Be Proactive – We take responsibility for our actions.

Begin with the End in Mind – We set goals and work towards achieving them.

Put First Things First – We prioritize our studies and responsibilities.

Think Win-Win – We respect others and seek solutions that benefit everyone.

Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood – We listen carefully before expressing our views.

Synergize – We work together as a team and value everyone’s contributions.

Sharpen the Saw – We continuously improve ourselves academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.

Today, as we invest our student leaders with their responsibilities, let them remember that leadership is not about authority but about service, commitment, and setting a positive example for others.

Once again, I extend a heartfelt welcome to our respected Chief Guests, Principal, teachers, and dear students.

Thank you and have a wonderful day.
